SurfNet on the ep1 student server — surfing guide archive
The student-run SurfNet page that once lived on the university's ep1 server: a practical guide to surfing, the web and getting online from campus.
SurfNet was a student-run resource on the ep1 server of the IT University of Gothenburg: a written guide to surfing — how to reach the web, which tools to use and how to get a useful session out of a slow campus connection.
Student servers like ep1 were where the practical, unofficial knowledge lived: guides, course notes and hobby pages that no institution would have published itself. The SurfNet surfing guide is the part of that server still linked from Swedish web directories.
This is an archive of the subject, not a working campus service. The ep1 accounts are long gone.
